The Inn at USC

The Inn at Carolina was originally built in 1910 by John Jefferson Cain. Known as The Black House, it had several owners until USC took possession in 1974. The Black House was preserved thanks to Historic Columbia and now functions as the lobby to the Inn at Carolina.

The Inn received an award for adaptive reuse from Historic Columbia in 2006.
